Biodegradable and Compostable Materials
We prioritize the use of biodegradable materials sourced from sustainable plant-based origins:
- Soilon Tea Bags: Made from cornstarch, these compostable bags are designed to prevent any migration of particles into your infusions.
- Double-Pocket Paper Tea Bags: Staple-free and glue-free, these sewn bags optimize infusion while remaining biodegradable.
- Bio-Based Materials for Aromatic Herbs: PLA packaging, derived from sugarcane, is compostable and part of a carbon-neutral program.
Eco-Friendly and Responsible Inks
For our labels and outer packaging, we use water-based or plant-based inks. These inks reduce our carbon footprint and contain no harmful chemicals, ensuring safety for both the environment and our consumers.
Recyclable and Airtight Packaging
Our packaging is designed to preserve flavors optimally while minimizing waste:
- Outer envelopes are made from NatureFlex, a recyclable and renewable material, or from recyclable aluminum or simple paper.
- Glass bottles are fully recyclable and reusable, promoting sustainability and waste reduction.
Carbon Neutrality at the Heart of Our Production
We actively participate in reforestation initiatives to offset the carbon footprint of our production. For example, for every 2,500 PLA containers produced, one tree is planted, effectively neutralizing 100% of the associated emissions.
Short Supply Chains and European Production
To limit transport-related emissions, all our products are packaged in France or within Europe. This approach not only ensures a reduced carbon footprint but also guarantees strict quality control at every stage of production.
A Message from the Founder: An Ethical Vision for a Sustainable Future
At Provence d’Antan, our mission goes far beyond creating exceptional organic products. It is rooted in a deeply human and responsible approach: leaving our children a livable planet, where every action matters in preserving resources and ecosystems.
Philippe Petit, founder of the company, embodies this vision:
"Since 1989, we have chosen independence, remaining a family-owned business, free from external capital. This freedom is fundamental: it allows us to focus on what truly matters, without the pressure of short-term financial results. We are guided by strong ethics, a passion for our products, and the values that have driven us since day one."
We believe that businesses have a key role to play in building a better future. At Provence d’Antan, this commitment is reflected in thoughtful and sustainable choices:
- Partnering with local producers to reduce our carbon footprint and support the regional economy.
- Designing environmentally friendly products with biodegradable or recyclable packaging.
- Maintaining strict traceability and quality controls to ensure the safety and excellence of every cup you enjoy.
"Our independence is the foundation of this approach. It enables us to make decisions aligned with our values, without compromise, and to act with total freedom to uphold our promise to our customers, our producers, and our planet."
As a family-owned business, we embrace a responsibility: to pass on a world where nature and people are respected. We firmly believe that mindful consumption and ethical brands can make a difference.
Thank you for supporting a journey where authenticity, quality, and eco-responsibility come together. Together, let's build a future worthy of future generations.
